… this is Paul Graham’s version of why Microsoft is dead. There are some interesting parts in it. One thing he does not state, is that Microsoft never drove the internet trends. They get always late, and sometimes very late. Then, the huge ammount of monetary units and a very confortable monopolistic position in the market helps them catch up (as reduce distance). Microsoft is primarily a desktop software company, with or without live.com.

Apart from this, and because we discussed it a bit in a private mailing-list today, why the heck did Novell signed the agreement ?!?! They even have 3 cool ads: PC, Mac… meet Linux. This is what makes Microsoft come closer. Bad move from Novell. And they didn’t come for the technology. They come for legal actions… They come for patents. They come for business and technology shutdowns. Microsoft needs Linux to be wiped out from the face of the earth: sudo rm -fr *. Can’t Novell see it ?!?? I trully hope not to see a del novell.* move.
